What is Jimii?

Jimii is a mobile shopping assistant I wrote in my spare time. Jimii enables comparison shopping from any e-mail enabled phone.

Why did I create Jimii?

I enjoy shopping for books, music, and video games at local stores. However, when shopping I miss the user reviews and the pricing information available online. I found that it was too tedious to try to look up each item I was interested in on Amazon while standing in a store, so I created a way to retrieve all the inforation I need at once.

How does it work?

Simply create an e-mail addressed to shop@jimii.com and enter ISBN and UPC codes of items as you browse, one item per line.

When you are finished, send the mail and in about 1 minute you will receive a reply from Jimii with information about each of the items you entered.

That's it! The e-mail contains pricing and customer reviews from Amazon. There are also links in the e-mail if you would like to purchase from one of the merchants online (currently Amazon and Amazon Marketplace sellers). And you have a list of all the items you found interesting, just in case you decide later you want something you saw in the store.
